So it's been a bit since I've started wearing the lenses I got from uniqso.com and I think I've worn them enough to do a more in-depth review about the store as well as the lenses I got (●♡∀♡)
First off, the reason I decided to get back into wearing lenses was because Uniqso was having a New Year's sale of 50% off! So each of the lenses I got were $9! I figured if I ruined these ones, at least I didn't pay full price lol.
SHIPPING: 5/5(?)
I ordered the lenses on 01/01/2014 and they came to me on 1/6/2014. I did accidentally pay the extra fee for them to come early though (。_。) But to me it seems like they really have their shipping times down! I believe the no extra cost shipping takes about 7-10 days~
COMMUNICATION: 5/5
Uniqso did an awesome job of notifying me whenever the status of my order changed! I got an email estimating the time they would be able to start shipping (2-4 days), another email when it shipped, and then a final email to check in with me and confirm that my order had made it safely (。-ω-)
WEBSITE NAVIGATION: 4/5
I might just be techincally challenged, but searching for the actual categories for specific colors of lenses was really hard for me to do... That was the only difficulty I had though. There is a search bar at the top of the page and I typed in "kitten" to find the brown lenses. The rest of the site can be navigated through the drop bars at the top of the page. I was really impressed with their customer service section which had all kinds of ways to get in tough with the seller and to track your orders! They also have an awesome sale section with popular BB creams/Falsies from brands like Skin79 and Dollywink ☆ﾐ(o*･ω･)ﾉ
OVERALL: 4.9/5
I got these babies on sale, the seller was AWESOME with communicating to me (which is most imortant, imo), and the lenses got here quickly. It would have a 5 in my book if they had a specific colors section, but even that isn't a huge deal, you could type in "brown" or whatever color you want in the search bar and all the lenses of that color would pop up! So yes, I would definitely recommend this seller to my friends who are looking for circle lenses! I was very impressed by Uniqso ( ˘ ³˘)❤
NOW FOR THE LENSES~!
So the lenses I got were:
ENLARGING EFFECT: 4/5
I was looking for something pretty natural looking for every day use so enlarging wasn't a huge deal when I got these. They do make my eyes noticeably bigger but there is no black ring around the iris for that "dolly" look. For someone who is looking to really enlarge their eyes, I would suggest a darker brown color with a black ring around the iris.
COMFORT: 4/5
I have a super sensitive left eye and I always have ot make sure the left contact is extra saturated with solution so that there is minimal irritation in my eye when I first put it in. It takes me about a minute to adjust to these contacts in my eyes. I also need to use eyedrops about every 2 hours, so they do dry my eyes out. Compared to the lenses I had used in past, these aren't bad. I remember I had my last brown pair actually pop out of my eyes becaus they were so dry (╯︵╰,)
COLOR: 5/5
As for it looking natural on my eyes, this gets a perfect score! It matches the color of my eyes exactly and then fades out to a transparent brown towards the outside so that your eyes have a cute gradient effect. I'm not so sure how natural they would look on blue or green eyes but this is definitely natural looking on brown or hazel! I had some people telling me my eyes actually did look like kitten's eyes, yay (,,◕ ⋏ ◕,,)
ENLARGING EFFECT: 5/5
These babies are HUGE!!! I'm pretty sure on average I wear around 14mm and these are 16mm. They do have the black ring around the iris so it does give a "dolly eye" effect. They give a lot of definition to the eye and are a good choice if you want to enlarge your eyes~
COMFORT: 5/5
These are the comfiest lenses I've ever worn! They don't dry me out quickly (though I do use eye drops every few hours to be safe) and there's virtually no irritation when I put them on. It takes me less than a minute to adjust to these (ˆ⌣ˆc)
COLOR: 4/5
It's hard to find a lens that will make dark eyes light and I was really hoping that this would do that for me. My boyfriend didn't notice anything until he looked at me really close up and he said that the pattern looks like I have a lizard eye! Ah! But alas, I am still on the hunt for a light grey pair that will show up on my poop eyes *sigh*
